Low-cost legal access and assistance

Legal Document Services offers you low-cost non-attorney alternative to otherwise stressful and expensive situations.

As a legal document assistant (formerly known as an independent paralegal), we provide my expertise, professional training and experience to help you represent yourself. (Please note: I am not an attorney.)

Our experience and training will help you avoid the need to become entangled in a legal system that is expensive, confusing, and complicated.

Even the best self-help books can be difficult and overwhelming. We work with you so your documents are completed professionally and on time.

Our goal is to provide the help you need to help yourself.

We can help you prepare and file documents for:

  • Divorce
  • Bankruptcy
  • Child Support and Custody
  • Legal Separation

About Paralegals and
Legal Document Assistants

Legal Document Assistants (LDAs) provide professional self-help services at your specific direction. Formerly called "Independent Paralegals", an LDA can help members of the public who want to pursue a legal remedy on their own.

In January 2002, a new law became effective whereby all independent paralegals are now know as Legal Document Assistants. A Legal Document Assistant is a highly trained, knowledgeable professional who is able to help you represent yourself for most of your needs.

A paralegal does not provide services to the public. They only work under the direct supervision of an attorney.
